Clean Air

So for the past two days somebody by my house has been burning weeds like crazy. You can't see it's so smoky. The worst part is the smell. It smells like the worst smoker casino in Las Vegas outside. After a shower I went outside and my hair was wet. I came back in and my hair smelled super bad and I had to change my clothes because the smell got in them too.

I'm super glad I don't have to deal with air like this all the time. When all this smoke finally clears up I will be so so grateful for clean air.

Sockies!

So this could be a long stretch for a miracle, but think about it.

Socks keep my feet warm when it's cold in my house. They keep them dry when it's raining. They keep my feet from smelling yucky and getting athletes foot when I wear shoes. They keep my feet from getting sweaty. They make for fun sliding competitions on newly waxed hardwood floors. My favorite socks are the kind you get at the hospital :)

I don't know who invented socks but way to be. thats all I have to say... Way to be!!

Modern Communicaion

Isn't technology amazing?!

Just the pure fact that we can turn on a phone almost anywhere in the world and talk to somebody else almost anywhere else in the world. I also love emails!! I can write a message and instantaneously anything I want is thousands of miles away.

I can't imagine living when the fastest way to send a message was to give it to a boy who would take a long journey on horse to the nearest docks, then give it to a post person and wait probably months for it to get across the ocean and who knows how long until it could get to the person needed, back then they thought that was amazing probably. Even our modern postal service is so much faster and more reliable than about 95% of history. I love that all I have to do is put a couple stickers on an envelope and it's basically set and the rest is taken care of.

Hopefully I can remember that next time I don't have service and have to wait like five minutes to send a text message.

Easter: the Miracle of Christ

Wow. I could write endlessly on what a miracle that Easter is. The fact that in a single weekend, Christ fulfilled everything that was needed for us to be Saved is a miracle in itself.

Today I have felt so much love and joy and gratefulness for Christ. It brings such hope to my soul to know that he rose up out of the grave and was ressurected so that we could be too. I am so glad I could spend this wonderful day with my family and feel the spirit discussing this Easter Sunday.  I'm glad I was born into a family that believes in these things and I'm glad that I live in a country that lets us freely worship. I feel like today has had such a great spirit to it. I don't know how to describe it in words and so far I've done a terrible job.

I am grateful for the miracle of Christ, the greatest miracle of them all.

Prophets and apostles have described this miracle greater than I ever could. I would look at lds.org and  read the words of the prophets and the accounts in the bible. There are so many great resources like videos and everything.

To sum up this post, I want to put up the lyrics of the song "I Know that My Redeemer Lives" I have a testimony that Christ did in fact rise from the tomb and he lives and loves us. I love him and am grateful with all my heart.

1. I know that my Redeemer lives,
What comfort this sweet sentence gives?
He lives, he lives who once was dead,
He lives, my ever living head!
2. He lives to bless me with his love,
He lives to plead for me above,
He lives my hungry soul to feed,
He lives to bless in time of need.
3. He lives to grant me rich supply,
He lives to guide me with his eye,
He lives to comfort me when faint,
He lives to hear my soul's complaint:
4. He lives to silence all my fears,
He lives to stop and wipe my tears,
He lives to calm my troubled heart,
He lives all blessings to impart:
5. He lives my kind, wise, heav'nly friend,
He lives and loves me to the end,
He lives, and while he lives I'll sing,
He lives, my Prophet, Priest, and King:
6. He lives and grants me daily breath,
He lives, and I shall conquer death,
He lives my mansion to prepare,
He lives to bring me safely there:
7. He lives, all glory to his name!
He lives, my Jesus, still the same:
O the sweet joy this sentence gives,
"I know that my Redeemer lives."

Eggs

Lol so what a miracle eggs are. They carry new little baby animals that will hatch in the spring. Especially the pretty song birds that will sing to me in the mornings this summer. They are a sign of new life.

Today we dyed eggs for easter. They are super uper cute!! What would easter be without eggs. We dye them we fill them with candy and hide them. We make jello eggs, then on easter morning we eat egg salad all day long. YummY!!!

Yay for Eggs! God really does make the most amazing things :)

The Memories I'll have from Liberty Square

So today I moved out of Liberty Square. Sad day. It felt so empty inside without everybody's things and decorations. I really loved my apartment, but more than that I loved the people that I met. This place will have new residents next semester, but in my heart it will always carry the memories of my freshman year. The people here were fantastic, the ward and the friends and relationships gained.

I will miss my roommates the most, and all the fun, crazy, stressful, beautiful, smelly, silly, lazy days we spent together. It was a miracle that I was able to meet and get to know all those girls. I love you Hallie, Audrey, Maggie, Kate and Paige. I'm so happy to be friends with everyone. You really helped me get through lots of stress and were my friends. You were a very big miracle in my life.

Freshman year is over!!!!

So I guess you can say it's a miracle I survived my freshman year at BYU. Man this was a rough year. Especially this last semester and mostly this past week. Talk about more stress than I've ever felt in my entire life! It is a miracle I made it through. I didn't even get any C's. Thats my goal for college I guess to never get below a B. Trust me I was close in a couple classes, but thankfully I made it through. Good stuff. Now I just get to pack up and take the long long drive to move back home tomorrow. (like 10 minutes). Can't wait to get summer started but sad to see all the roommates and fun times be left behind.

Finding the perfect car

So I guess this miracle is a little superficial, but I've been looking for a car for a while now and today I stumbled upon a great great car. It's a red Saturn Vue. I jumped on it as fast as I could and everything worked out in my favor. We were able to take the time off from busy schedules (again) to drive an hour away to get it. Also we got to the bank just in time before it closed and the girl finished the paper work at amazing speeds. This car is amazing for the price I got. By far so much better than anything I've looked at. I'm so happy that everything worked out.

Now all I need is a miracle in gas prices.

Loving Parents

So this summer I really want to use this blog to really open my heart more to the amazing world around. So far I've only posted when something big happens or something that really caught my attention. Well those things are great and amazing but from now on since school is over and everything, I want to just post one simple and small miracle every day during the summer, just to show how abundant the world is in great and lovely things. That is my goal. Today is my first day.

Today's Miracle:Loving Parents

Today my mom and dad drove me an hours drive just to look at a single car to buy. That's a big sacrifice especially because of their busy schedules. I'm glad I have that in my life because I know many people don't. For the people in the world with no family who might feel alone without help and the scared orphans that have nobody to raise them, my heart goes out to you. Yours is a special place in Heaven. I pray for you and hope somehow that maybe you will someday feel the love of a parent.

Catching up with all the amazing blessings I have received

So today I realized all the things in my life that have gone completely perfectly over the last month. It's amazing really that all these miracles just seemed to fall in my lap. After reading the Book of Mormon many times I have learned that the people who get blessings often forget to thank their Heavenly Father for their blessings and fall into wickedness. I hope to learn from their mistakes and can always remember the source of my blessings.

Here are all the things that have happened so nicely. First I got accepted into the Advertising Program, my dream program and job. I then have been getting great grades on all my tests and classes for the last month. I also found a great place to live fall semester even though I procrastinated finding a place until late. I got the job that I have wanted for summer time and that was probably the greatest blessing. Because I got my job, that means that I will finally be able to afford a car and get around.

Today I wanted to really thank my Heavenly Father for all he has given me. I hadn't paid my tithing for the month and am still so surprised that all those financial and great blessings came in spite of the fact that I hadn't paid it yet. I am so incredibly grateful.

The craziest thing happened when I went to pay my tithing. I put my money in the envelope and was just thumbing through my wallet to see what else was in there. Randomly squished in the bottom was another bill of money. The rest of my money I had already budgeted out. I could have taken the money as a blessing. The more I thought about it, the more I realized how much I already had been blessed with. I slipped the money in with my tithing to go to the humanitarian fund. I hope I can give back as much as I have been given.
